Five fab weight loss cheats

Left the diet to the last minute and need to trim that muffin top? Don’t panic.
We have five sure-fire quick fixes to lose those final pounds, fast.
1. Drink, drink, drink!
Water that is. And while we’re at it, knock the booze on the head and keep to non-caffeinated tea or coffee for the next couple of days.
Water helps flush out your system, and silly as it sounds, drinking more helps rid your body of trapped water that can make you look bloated.
2. Ditch the salt!
The Food Standards Agency says a healthy daily amount is less than 6g per adult, but to help wring out those last pounds, cut salt out as much as possible.
Salt bloats you, traps water and makes your system sluggish.
3. Eat little and often!
Try and ditch the traditional three square meals for five or six ‘mini meals’ of lentils, vegetables, brown or basmati rice, lean meats, fish and salad.
4. Get a colonic!
Not for the faint-hearted, colonic irrigation (or colonic hydrotherapy) can help shift dried matter, blocking up your colon and stopping your system work efficiently.
A good session with a professional can take centimetres off your waistline and help you feel ‘cleaner’ and perkier.
5. If you’re hungry, eat!
Starving yourself will do you no favours, increasing the chances of reaching for the quick fix junk food, and force your body to slow down, making the most of what calories you have taken in.
Instead, eat fruit and vegetable crudités and take the edge of your hunger between meals.
