pink patchAngry medical professionals have hit out at the manufacturers of a new diet patch.

The National Obesity Forum, which lists doctors, nurses and dieticians among its members, have branded the marketing strategy for The Pink Patch ‘dangerous’.

Now, if you have not seen the new adverts, I’ll be surprised. They seem to be all over the internet at the moment.

Jennifer LopezWhere would we be without J-Lo?

Not happy with making us look good out on the town, the Hollywood diva now wants you to look good in the gym.

Now, of course, the ‘actress’ can do very little about the red face and the unsightly sweat patches.

She’s not a miracle worker, after all. But Jennifer Lopez is about to launch her range of exercise clothes in the hope of turning treadmills into catwalks. Just remember to sashay and pout while exercising.

http://www.dietpixie.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/04/halle_berry.jpgBeautiful Bond Girl Halle Berry has been stepping out in the US this week, complete with a post-baby body that most of us would give our right arms for.

Berry’s tot, the imaginatively-titled Nahla Ariela Aubry, was born just over a month ago, and Halle is already looking in tip-top condition. Apparently Nahla means ‘honey bee’ in Arabic - and we bet Ms Berry’s husband is buzzing over his wife’s toned, curvy figure.

Some things just don’t do what they say on the tin.

We’ve all done it. As anyone who’s had a bad relationship would testify (and that’s most of us), some things you think are good for you, are actually doing exactly the opposite.

It’s the same with our relationship with food. They may look like they are good for you - even have a healthy-sounding name – but in reality they are doing us all kinds of damage.

We would just about all love to lose a bit of weight.

After all, it makes you feel more confident and it’s generally good for your health. But for employees at one particular company in America, it could also be great for their wallets.

Imagine if your town was designed to help you lose weight.

OK, living somewhere where you are encouraged to ditch the car and walk or cycle everywhere may seem like some people’s worst nightmare.

Pregnant man, Thomas Beatie, has had the baby

baby, dummy, pacifier, thomas beatie, pregnant man, man baby, man, sex changeAnd if we were a tabloid we’d put man in snarky apostrophes, but we’re just a little bit classier here at DietPixie.

Of course we all know the story. It’s age old. Man meets woman. Falls in love. They decide to have a baby. Man used to be woman until sex change op. Well, partial sex change op. Man still has some of his old womanly bits knocking about. Man carries baby. Goes on Oprah. And now… man has given birth to baby girl.

It’s a beautiful thing.

If only more men gave birth to babies. Maybe then we’d get a bit more bloody understanding about how much it Bloody Hurts. Oh well.

Thomas, 34, was born a lady, but took hormones and had his breasts removed to live as a man. He always hoped to get pregnant one day though, so he kept his female sex organs, telling Oprah it was down to his “human desire” and “right to have my own biological child.”

Some stuffy old squares didn’t agree though, largely the Christian right of America who went flipping apeshit.

His wife Nancy, 45, already has grown-up children and cannot have more biologically after having a hysterectomy.
