Here’s the top ten in all their glory.

http://www.dietpixie.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/06/apples-150x150.jpgThat’s right, we’re all doomed. Well, 99 in the hundred of us are anyway.

According to the Mail, where they call us Britons instead of Brits, because they’re like that, only one in a hundred of us have a diet that is healthy and not too high in sugar, salt and fat.

Skinny water for a quid

August 11th, 2008 20:35

skinny water, water, diet news, weight loss, appetite, hungerSo does this mean normal water is fattening?!

According to the Daily Mail, ‘marketing men’ (grr, those jerks again) say that the new product, Skinny Water, is made to suppress hunger and fight fat.

But the exact skinny science behind all those is a bit more woolly. In other words, no clinical trials have been carried out.

perfect-body, curves, figure, womanA recent survey by Fabulous magazine has unearthed some surprising details about our quest for the perfect size eight figure.

Namely, according to men, the perfect figure isn’t a size 8. What? We have to be even thinner to pass muster?

No! Turns out that the majority of men like a lady with curves, wearing size 12s on her womanly hips.

atkins, barbecue, diet, low-carb, low-carbohydrate, diet news, fat, protein, dr atkinsMeat-fans’ favourite diet, Atkins, may be just as effective and safe as a low-fat diet, despite all the other surveys and the founder dying a bloated man.

This latest research comes from a study of 322 overweight volunteers, carried out by boffins from Israel, America and Germany.

The volunteers lost weight on all diets tried, including Atkins (low-carbohydrate), low-fat and Mediterranean diet.

The low-carb diet was the most effective.

Cram in brekker, lose more weight

breakfast, big breakfast, brekker, egg, fry-up, weight lossLadies who stuff it in first thing stay fuller for longer, snack less, lose weight and keep it off. Sounds like a convincing argument for an almighty grill-up.

We’ve always known breakfast was the most important meal of the day because our mum told us, but now there’s science fact as well as mum fact to back it up.

DietPixie looking for a new editor

The more observant of you may have noticed it has been a while since we posted a new story.

This is basically because DietPixie currently has no editor. Our former editor, Holly, recently had a baby and understandably found the stresses and strains of juggling the demands of a full-time job, website and motherhood a little too much.

But don’t worry. We are currently in the process of looking for a new editor and the site should be back up and running soon.

Want to throw your hat into the ring? Well, that’s great. We really believe in DietPixie and we want it to be a success.

Just send me an email at david@hecklerspray.com and tell me why you would be a great editor or writer of Dietpixie and we’ll take it from there.
