booze, booze trap, dependency, alcoholic, aa, hypnotherapy, nlp, david allen Our favourite hypnotherapist, David Allen, has put together a guide on beating the dependency trap.

And no, it doesn’t just apply to booze. If you over-eat, over-stress, chew your nails or do anything else TOO MUCH you need to read this.

Robert Downey JrRobert Downey Jr. has had some real lows in his life.

After all, the 43-year-old Iron Man star has struggled for years with drug and alcohol addiction.

Not to mention he was in Bowfinger and Ally McBeal. Talk about plumbing the depths.

But, apparently, these pale into insignificance compared to a trip to a Burger King drive-thru a few years back, when he had a cheeseburger which was so disgusting it made him give up the drugs and re-assess his entire life.

beer, stella, bottle, bottles, alcohol, drinking, boozeLeading hypnotherapist David Allen explains why we drink too much and how to control your relationship with alcohol. You may be suprised to learn how unhealthy your ’social habits’ can be.

Many of us drink more than we are cognitively comfortable with and do that regularly either at home or at social events and do that it in such a way, that it doesn’t appear to have a direct impact on our work, or family, or the things that we need to do in our lives.

Lily Allen has been drinking to excess to forget her miscarriage.Quirky British singer Lily Allen has been pictured recently hanging around Cannes wearing nothing but bikini bottoms.

She has also been necking her fair share of the demon drink, so much so that her ex-boyfriend Ed Simons (of Chemical Brothers fame) has spoken out about it.

Lily, 23, dated Ed for a few months at the start of the year, but their relationship ended after she had a miscarriage back in February.

Kristin Davis tells all about her alcohol addiction.Sex And The City star Kristin Davis has spoken candidly about her struggle with alcohol, and how she thought she wouldn’t make it past the age of 30.

Kristin, who plays Charlotte in the hit TV series and movie, explained that alcoholism runs in her family.

Her SATC character was often seen enjoying wine and cocktails alongside those expensive Manhattan dinners, but Kristin says that her problems were more than just social.

Sarah Jessica Parker lets us into her diet and fitness secrets.Ever wondered how Carrie Bradshaw and the gang stay so slim?

The ladies from Sex And The City, whose new movie is the talk of the town after the London premiere last week, have revealed their diet and fitness secrets.

And you might be surprised to learn that they don’t necessarily rely on lettuce leaves and hours in the gym, like many other celebs.

Eat a variety of vegetables to cut your cancer risk.A third of all forms of cancer that happen in the UK each year could be prevented if diets and lifestyles were healthier.

That’s what experts are saying after a study has shown that the amount of people who could have been spared with a better lifestyle would have filled Wembley Stadium - 95,000, to be exact.

It all boils down to keeping a healthy weight, taking at least 30 minutes of exercise each day and filling your diet with fruit, vegetables, wholegrains and pulses.

lose weight fast and quickYou don’t have to spend hours on the treadmill or go on a punishing diet to start getting into shape.

The road to better health can start with adding simple things into your daily routine – like chewing your food longer, taking deeper breaths and cutting down on how much alcohol you thrown down your neck.

Ok, the last one is not that simple. DietPixie’s writers have always been partial to the odd drink – or seven!

Pregnant man, Thomas Beatie, has had the baby

baby, dummy, pacifier, thomas beatie, pregnant man, man baby, man, sex changeAnd if we were a tabloid we’d put man in snarky apostrophes, but we’re just a little bit classier here at DietPixie.

Of course we all know the story. It’s age old. Man meets woman. Falls in love. They decide to have a baby. Man used to be woman until sex change op. Well, partial sex change op. Man still has some of his old womanly bits knocking about. Man carries baby. Goes on Oprah. And now… man has given birth to baby girl.

It’s a beautiful thing.

If only more men gave birth to babies. Maybe then we’d get a bit more bloody understanding about how much it Bloody Hurts. Oh well.

Thomas, 34, was born a lady, but took hormones and had his breasts removed to live as a man. He always hoped to get pregnant one day though, so he kept his female sex organs, telling Oprah it was down to his “human desire” and “right to have my own biological child.”

Some stuffy old squares didn’t agree though, largely the Christian right of America who went flipping apeshit.

His wife Nancy, 45, already has grown-up children and cannot have more biologically after having a hysterectomy.

Look out for exclusive pics in whichever glossy mag has the deepest pockets, very soon.
