Patrick Swayze puts cancer in a corner, goes back to work

Great balls of fire, not five months has passed since news of his Pancreatic cancer and imminent demise hit the headlines, causing scores of weeping ladies and repeat airings of She’s Like The Wind.

But now the Hollywood favourite is back at work and – reportedly – looking healthy.

He plays the part of an FBI agent in medical drama, The Beast. Medical? Ironic or what? NO! Coincidental! Stop using ‘ironic’ incorrectly.

Anyway.

According to Now and People magazines he is looking tanned and healthy and his co-stars are “delighted” to have him back. Well, no-one’s going to say, “do you know what, I wish it had panned out the other way” are they? Not unless they’re a massive insensitive toe-rag.

“Patrick is an amazing person,”, co-star Larry Gilliard Jr told People magazine.

“He’s so positive. I’m really looking forward to getting back to work with him.”

Ah, it’s nice to report happy health news for a change. Take note, Amy Winehouse.
