SKINNY WATCH: Barry Manilow is seven stone

Well it makes a change from Girls Aloud (although we don’t need to point out that Cheryl Cole is looking even thinner this week). Barry Manilow, the main man, the big kahoona, the guy who gave you Copacabana and Mandy, is painfully thin.
The sunkissed ‘do and proud snout is still in place, but according to Globe magazine, six-foot Manilow’s weight has plummeted to seven stone.
Of course a spokesman denies any concerns are valid, telling the Daily Mail:
“Granted, he’s pretty trim. But 100lb? And no, he’s not ill.
“He is rehearsing for his new show in Vegas, recording his new album, recording an original rock album, putting together an arena show and sometimes even enjoying the beach.”
The 65-year-old showbiz king is also finding walking difficult, according to reports. He had hip surgery two years ago but still throws himself around like a man of, say, 45 during his Vegas show.
Oh yeah, didn’t Barry Mannilow leave a nip-tuck clinic a few years ago in a lady’s wig and baseball cap after a reported full face lift? Whatever next.

The comments by Holly are nothing more than a blatant attempt to spread rumor and gossip. This is the statement from Mr. Manilow’s publicist/rep.
Hi Everyone….
We just saw a pretty outrageous headline on one of the tabloids claiming that Barry is ill
and down to 100 pounds.
Granted….he’s pretty trim. But 100 pounds? Give us a break. Even Mary Kate and Ashley
weigh more than 100 pounds. And no….he’s not ill.
What he is…is rehearsing for his new show in Las Vegas.
Recording his new album.
Putting together a new arena show.
Starting on his new original rock album.
And sometimes even enjoying the beach.

By the way…..we also saw a headline that said aliens had invaded Pomona. That headline,
of course, is true.

He maybe thin… but he can still put on a hell of a show and I’ve admired his talents for years! He is AWESOME!
