Cancer-stricken Patrick Swayze to make TV comeback

It seems nothing can put Patrick Swayze in a corner.
Just a few months ago, the Dirty Dancing star had weeks to live after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. But it was reported this week that 55-year-old Patrick Swayze is actually returning to work.
Yes, you heard that right: cancer-stricken Patrick Swayze is going to be back on your TV screens very soon. Next year, in fact.
It’s not the first time he has been linked with a return. Only a couple of weeks ago, there were rumours he was to star in a sequel of the highly-successful surfing movie Point Break.
But he quickly denied that that was the case, which, of course, we all expected. I mean, he has cancer, right!?
However, this week Patrick Swayze confirmed he will be returning to work – in the TV show The Beast - after the doctors confirmed he is fit to resume work.
Fit to resume work? Pretty incredible! I mean this is not a bout of the flu – he has an aggressive form of pancreatic cancer, for God’s sake!
Anyway, doctors say he has responded well to treatment – which involving a gruelling chemo sessions and drugs - and will be okay to begin filming in Chicago in the next few weeks and the series is set to air early next year on A&E in America.
He will play a hard-bitten FBI veteran, who ‘doesn’t play by the rules’ (whatever the rules are) asked to train up his rookie partner, who is also spying on him.
It’s a role Patrick Swayze admits he is relishing in statement which curiously did not mention his health.
“I can’t wait to get to work on this,” said Swayze, according to UK newspaper The Sun.
“I’ve searched for quite a long time to find a character so multi-layered, unpredictable and downright entertaining, as well as a project this current and cutting-edged.”
Patrick Swayze will continue to receive treatment at a hospital nearby.
“We’re thrilled to have Patrick on board,” said network boss Bob DiBitetto.
“We’ve had candid conversations with him and his doctors and we have a fairly high degree of expectation that Patrick will be good to work a full production schedule.”
“It’s amazing, it’s inspiring, and it’s almost unprecedented,” added Zack Van Amburg, co-president of Sony Pictures TV, who is to make The Beast.

Pancreatic cancer can go into remission for a lengthy period I believe. This is excellent news, good for Patrick!

I have found a cancer treatment that can find and destroy cancer in any part of the body without anesthetic, blood loss or any side effects and the person may resume activities the same day. Treatment lasts for only 5 days instead of months. sounds too good to be true, right! it’s FDA approved and is being used right now. Yes, it can treat pancreatic cancer with no problem. I am trying to get in touch with Patrick Swayze to inform him of this miracle. No, I am not really a fan. If you can help please let me know. Thanks——-Rick
