Lily Allen’s ex worries about her drinking

Quirky British singer Lily Allen has been pictured recently hanging around Cannes wearing nothing but bikini bottoms.

She has also been necking her fair share of the demon drink, so much so that her ex-boyfriend Ed Simons (of Chemical Brothers fame) has spoken out about it.

Lily, 23, dated Ed for a few months at the start of the year, but their relationship ended after she had a miscarriage back in February.

A source told Closer magazine: “Ed is worried sick about Lily. When he sees pictures of her blind drunk and clearly unhappy, he wants to look after her.

“Lily’s told her friends she wants Ed back and, although he still loves her, he’s reluctant because of her mood swings, which he found hard to cope with.”

The daughter of Keith Allen’s forays with depression and rehab have been well documented, especially since she spent a lengthy spell in therapy just a couple of months ago.

Whilst out drinking in a nightclub in Cannes last week, Lily got so drunk that her dad had to take her home, and not without a fight. Apparently she was glugging cocktails even after it was clear she’d already had too much too drink.

Friends think that Lily will only be happy if Ed takes her back, but the singer has other ideas.

She said on her blog last week: “I’m not some failed babymaking machine desperately trying to win back my man.”
