Kym Marsh’s D.I.V.O.R.C.E. diet

She’s not the first girl to lose the deadweight bloke followed by the actual weight, and she’s definitely not the last celeb to launch her new look just as the paps are circling the bones of a relationship. But how has Kym Marsh done it?
She may spell her name like a teenage girl, but lovely raven-haired Kym is 31 and a mum of two. So it’s good to know she’s been sensible and hasn’t opted for the standard break-up enema of late night boozing and piles of Marlboro Lights.
According to the Mirror, Corrie star Kym has chucked the junk food and microwave meals and learnt to cook the GI way: “I used to go out with my mates and drink cheap wine and get a pizza on the way home. But I wasn’t getting all the nutrients and I didn’t have vegetables because I didn’t know how to cook them.
“I’d stick something in the microwave and think ‘that’ll do’. I’d get sugar cravings and eat too much stodge and start to bloat.”
Kym now opts for wholemeal toast or muesli for brekker, salad or jacket spud for lunch and a stir fry for dinner.
She also keeps her carbs down and tries not to eat after 6pm.
The new plan has beaten her sugar cravings. She’s also dropped the booze and caffeine (what kind of a break up is this?) and now guzzles water and fruit teas. All very well behaved.
Wild cat Kym does go bonkers once a week though, and noshes on a chocolate bar.
Kym – who also had a similar dietary rebirth around the time of her solo career attempt – also runs twice a week, lifts weights, kickboxes and swims. Look out for another fitness DVD sometime soon.
Poor old Jamie Mitchell’s post-split workout, on the other hand, is yet to be revealed.
