Jade Goody has cancer and is told on TV

Reality TV nincompoop, Jade Goody, has left the Indian Big Brother house after being told in the diary room that she has cervical cancer.

There are shades of dark irony and there are gory details, but at the end of the day, it’s still cancer, so we’ll be respectful.

Jade, 27, was in India on some kind of messed up peace mission to make up for being such a rac… sorry, said I’d be respectful.

Jade, 27, was in India to appear on the Indian Big Brother (called Bigg Boss) when she was called into the diary room and given the health news.

After telling fellow housemates the news, she left to fly home to the UK for treatment.

Cervical cancer is the second most common form of the disease for young women, after breast cancer, but chances of survival are very high (83%) and catching it early – as in Jade’s case – improves the chances. It still kills around 950 women in Britain a year, though.

Jade had collapsed earlier this month and was taken for tests at hospital in Essex.

Her spokesman said:

“She is devastated. It is a terrible thing to be told you have cancer.

“She broke down while she was on air and told some of the other housemates she had some bad news and had to go home.

“When I spoke to her she was very upset, frightened and I tried to reassure her as best I could.

“It looks like her cancer is at an early stage but we will have to wait until she gets back to Britain and sees a specialist and has more tests.”
