Danielle Lloyd: How I lost a stone
July 23rd, 2008 at 20:34 by Holly
She was famous for being slim and pretty with a heaving bosom. Then she was famous for being a mean bullying ratbag, then she was famous for being slim and pretty again. But for a brief bit she was a stone heavier. Here’s how she lost that stone.
A little while ago she was nicknamed ‘porky’ by the mean, bullying papers, after looking ever-so-slightly more cushioned than normal for a bikini shoot.
Ha! How did she like it, eh?!
“I was shocked by the photos.” She tells Closer magazine.
“I hadn’t realised it, but I had put on a stone in about three months. It was down to the alcohol and McDonald’s breakfasts!
“I’d been going out every night, drinking in London clubs. It’s terrible, but I could drink up to 10 units a night.
“The drinks were always free and I’d happily work my way through loads of vodka mixed with Red Bull. Then the next day I’d wake up with a hangover and reach straight for the carbs to cure it.
“I’d have a McDonald’s Happy Meal [how perfect is that?! - Ed.] and a hamburger practically every day. Then I’d pick at crisps and chocolates, grab a take-away and start all over again.”
But she made a few changes and she was soon back in the kind of peak condition that has apparently wowed Teddy Sheringham, a Gladiator, Marcus Bent and a load of other back page botherers.
She carries on:
“Now I drink about seven units over the weekend, rather than more than that every night! I’m really pleased because my stomach and legs looked toned, and I know no-one’s going to be commenting on my wobbly bits because I haven’t got any now!”
Now they’ll just go back to talking about which mid-ranking footballer you’ve been linked with and what a horrible little bit you were to Shilpa Shetty.
