Anne Hathaway ’starved’ herself for film role

We had no idea fashion journalism was such a difficult job.
Not only do you have to travel around the world and hang out with supermodels, apparently you have to be as thin as them to. Or, at least, that’s how Hollywood sees it.
Why else would they take one of their thinnest stars and virtually make her starve herself just to play the role of a magazine hack?
Let’s face it! Anne Hathaway is hardly carrying a few pounds, but she was still put on a diet for her role in
The Devil Wears Prada that reduced her and her co-star Emily Blunt to tears on a daily basis.
She told the Daily Record:
“I was thin for my height. I was basically stuck with fruit, vegetables and fish. I wouldn’t recommend that.
“Emily Blunt and I would clutch at each other and cry because we were so hungry.”
Now, we admit we don’t know many fashion journalists, but from our experiences of journalists in general, Anne Hathaway would have been better off drinking herself into oblivion every night to prepare for the role.
How else would she get the red eyes, the pasty white skin, beer breath, and dishevelled appearance?
I mean, fruit, vegetables and fish? You must be joking!
Most journalists’ ideas about nutrition usually extend to eating a few nuts with their great volumes of wine or beer.
