Angelina Jolie laughs her way through birth of twins

Is having a C-section really a laughing matter? Well, Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie certainly thought so this week during the birth of twins Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline.

She was happy to chat and joke with partner Brad Pitt throughout the birth at Lenval Hospital on the French Riviera.

“It was an epidural, so [Angelina] was awake and speaking and laughing. They were happy,” said Jolie’s doctor Michel Sussmann, who delivered her son and daughter at the weekend.

Having carried a vial of former partner Billy Bob-Thornton’s blood around her neck for quite a while, I always knew Angelina was the bloodthirsty type.

But laughing at a C-section? OK, then again, as a bloke, I’ll never experience the ‘joy’ of giving birth.
Sounds like I am missing a great party though.

Even Brad Pitt was enjoying himself.

Sussman said: “He was perfectly calm, totally determined, very pleased to be at the birth of his children, very moved and very emotional.”

What were they doing in there? Showing re-runs of Carry on Doctor?

Anyway, the only fly in the ointment is the fact Angelina gave them normal names. She must hate them.

Why? Because we all know that Angelina Jolie loves to give her children all sorts of zany names.

So far she’s named her children after a road in London, after how someone with a speech defect would pronounce the name of a large African desert, after a battle in the War Of Independence and after something that sounds like a made-up dishwasher detergent for Scientologists.

But these new ones? Angelina’s actually given them names that they’ll be able to pronounce? Urgh!
Angelina may as well have just slapped them both in the face at birth and had done with it.
