Amy Winehouse scrapes addiction barrel, pulls out sunbed

You have to hand it to Amy Winehouse – she certainly isn’t a quitter.

There was us worrying about whether we would ever be able to complete our Amy Winehouse Disease Bingo card and the she manages to pull ‘skin cancer’ out the bag.

OK, we are not crossing it off yet, but by the sounds of it, it will only be a matter of time until she’s be able to shout “house, splutter, splutter” at the top of the gunk-filled, peanut-sized husks she once called her lungs.

Why is that, you may ask? Well, according to The Sun (note the caution here), it seems the troubled singer has developed a new addiction – to her sunbed.

It seems nobody can get her out of the sunbed since having it installed at her Camden, North London, home earlier this year.

She spends at least an hour a day in it and regularly dozes off under the harmful ultraviolet lamps.

One ‘friend’ told The Sun: “Amy can’t do anything by halves. Recently she has been going for it on the sunbed, but she won’t be told.

“She bought it to get rid of scabs that started appearing on her skin.”

Is it just us or does using the sunbed to get rid of her scabs sound like the women who swallowed a spider to catch a fly?

But then, as her so-called friend has already said, Amy WInehouse is not one to do things by halves.

Not happy with simply being riddled with impetigo, having head lice, contracting the rare disorder of taking too many drugs and almost dying and messing up her lungs, she now wants huge, weeping melanomas all over her skin.

Now we just have to decide whether we go double or quits on ebola. She doesn’t already have that, does she? House!!

The ‘pal’ told The Sun: “Over the years, Amy has been addicted to alcohol, all sorts of drugs, men and even knitting.

“This is another addiction that puts her health in danger. Why can’t she take up squash or something?”

Is does seem like she has some kind of death wish. Maybe it’s like the new film The Happening, in which theplants release something into the air which makes people want to kill themselves.

Obviously, in Amy Winehouse’s case, it’s the weeds.
