http://www.dietpixie.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/04/britney2.jpgJackie Warner, the star of the US hit TV show Work It Out, wants to help perennial waster Britney Spears to turn her life around.

“She needs someone who will do more than put her through a routine,” says Warner. “She needs a life coach, and I consider myself to more of a life coach than a trainer. She would love me and hate me. We’d be a great match.”

In an exclusive interview with fancast.com’s celebrity blogger Todd Gold, Jackie Warner shared her thoughts on troubled Britney and offered some sound advice.

http://www.dietpixie.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/04/geri_halliwell1.jpgGeri Halliwell is really annoying. OK, we all know that.

But apparently, the Spice Girl has found a new way to annoy people – apart from simply being Geri Hailliwell that is – and it’s driving her new boyfriend nuts.

It’s her alleged obsession with fitness and exercise. Apparently, Ginger Spice goes through a punishing two-hour daily workout every day to stay in shape.

http://www.dietpixie.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/04/britney1.jpgCelebrity blog Celebitchy has details of The Enquirer’s report on Britney Spears’ new fitness regime.

Tons of pics have appeared online and in newspapers showing Britney skipping out of gyms, looking toned and healthy, as well as running on a treadmill (wearing shades indoors, no less).

It might be another false start, but it really does seem like she has got herself back on track and ditched the fatty fast food and fitness fads for good.

http://www.dietpixie.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/04/belly.jpgMinor changes in lifestyle can help to whittle your waist and stop abdominal obesity, a new study says.

It is well noted that the ‘metabolic syndrome’, which is a cluster of diabetes factors, tends to stem from excess abdominal weight.

Other symptoms include high blood pressure and blood sugar. Not good. However, experts say that you don’t have to completely overhaul your lifestyle in order to see the benefits - just a few small changes can reap massive rewards.

http://www.dietpixie.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/04/dumbbells.jpgResearch from across the pond in Chicago has found that overweight women who have high levels of fitness cannot completely eradicate risks to their hearts.

Regular exercise is necessary to lose weight and to improve the health of your heart, but experts say that being fit and fat at the same time just doesn’t work.

“It doesn’t take away the risk entirely. Weight still matters,” said Dr. Martha Gulati, a heart specialist at
Northwestern Memorial Hospital in the US.

http://www.dietpixie.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/04/halle_berry.jpgBeautiful Bond Girl Halle Berry has been stepping out in the US this week, complete with a post-baby body that most of us would give our right arms for.

Berry’s tot, the imaginatively-titled Nahla Ariela Aubry, was born just over a month ago, and Halle is already looking in tip-top condition. Apparently Nahla means ‘honey bee’ in Arabic - and we bet Ms Berry’s husband is buzzing over his wife’s toned, curvy figure.

http://www.dietpixie.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/04/j_lo.jpgIt’s little more than a month since Jennifer Lopez hoofed out twins, Max and Emme, and she’s already exercising like there’s no tomorrow. This is despite doctors advising all new mums to wait at least six weeks after giving birth before resuming exercise.

Apparently J-Lo is dragging herself out of bed at 4am each day, and knocking out three hours of exercise while most of us are still in the land of nod. She reportedly put on 4st during her pregnancy, which isn’t really surprising considering she was eating for three.

http://www.dietpixie.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/04/mel_b.jpgHave you ever wondered how Mel B got those rock hard abs, or how Victoria Beckham stays so slim without setting foot in a gym?

Not content with sparring over each other’s husbands, or competing to win the ‘fastest post-baby weightloss’ race, Spice Girls Victoria Beckham and Mel B have both been extolling the virtues of shagging.

http://www.dietpixie.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/04/wii.jpgContrary to earlier reports on DietPixie, virtual gaming, such as the sports games on the Nintendo Wii, are not a suitable replacement for formal exercise, say American health and fitness experts.

According to www.sciencedaily.com, old-fashioned childlike exercise is far more beneficial than the faux-fitness offered by gaming consoles. “Virtual gaming is no replacement for real exercise. It’s a place to start, though. Kids can have fun doing it, they can feel a little better about actually trying the sport or activity,” reckons Colleen Greene, the wellness coordinator for the University of Michigan.

Want to have a body like Jennifer Lopez, Elizabeth Hurley or Halle Berry?

Well now you can, after a new book has blown the whistle on many of the tricks the Hollywood stars use to keep in shape – from strange work-outs to odd tips on dieting.

Written by Kym Douglas and Cindy Pearlman, The Black Book of Hollywood Diet Secrets tells us that Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson regularly eats cookies, while Reese Witherspoon sometimes walks backwards first thing in the morning.

http://www.dietpixie.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/04/geri_halliwell.jpgNow, everyone knows that Geri Halliwell has well and truly usurped Mel C in the Sportiest Spice stakes. Her incessant jogging, yoga and kettlebelling has led old Ginge to become the fittest spice on the block.

American website www.celebrity-gossip.net made pains to point out that, when spotted on her bike in the fair city of London, Ms Halliwell “was actually breaking the law by riding on the sidewalk.” Naughty Geri!
