Having fat friends could be making you fat.
Or at least that’s according to a recent UK study, which states humans are subconsciously influenced by the weight of those around them.
Researchers at the University of Warwick into European lifestyles say people tend to gauge how fat they are by comparing themselves to their peers.

Atkins a good diet after all? Survey says yes

Meat-fans’ favourite diet, Atkins, may be just as effective and safe as a low-fat diet, despite all the other surveys and the founder dying a bloated man.
This latest research comes from a study of 322 overweight volunteers, carried out by boffins from Israel, America and Germany.
The volunteers lost weight on all diets tried, including Atkins (low-carbohydrate), low-fat and Mediterranean diet.
The low-carb diet was the most effective.

Too much tofu could give you the memory of a goldfish.
That’s according to a new study carried out by clever but obviously meat-eating researchers at Loughborough and Oxford Universities.
They found eating the soya product beloved by vegetarians more than once a day could lead you to forget important stuff - like to cut down on eating tofu.

According to today’s Daily Mail, the natural sugar in fruit is playing havoc with the nation’s waistlines.
Fructose, the natural sugar found in fruit, has been found to make people fatter around the tummy than glucose. According to the Mail, this ‘intra-abdominal fat’ is the most harmful type and is linked to serious problems such as diabetes and heart disease.

It’s apparently all down to a thyroid condition.
According to the Mirror, she’s lost over two stone through an untreated thyroid problem and she’s too scared of gaining pounds again to seek a cure.
“Forget all that healthy-eating bulls***,” she apparently said.
“I have a thyroid problem which means I s*** all the time. My doctors want me to start taking steroids for it but f*** that. I don’t want to put all the weight back on again.”
