The Sex and the City redhead, who plays butch solicitor, Miranda Hobbs, has revealed she overcame breast cancer, but it wasn’t that big a brouhaha.

The mum of one discovered she had stage 1 cancer two years ago, she tells Shape magazine. Having watched her mum suffer with – and beat – breast cancer 30 years before, she wasn’t too worried.

In a near fatal case of head-in-the-sandness, Jade admits she had been for four smears that found abnormal cells and ignored a letter telling her she needed to have more cells removed in case they led to cervical cancer.

She had had cells removed after the first three abnormal smears, but she says she was too scared to go back to hospital and instead the pre-cancerous abnormal cells became full cervical cancer.

After finally splitting with that whiny little pipsqueak, Daniel Johns of Silverchair and Anorexia fame, Natalie Imbruglia is back in the spotlight.

And not a moment too soon, we think she’s a delight.
